To obtain a visa on arrival, travelers must meet certain requirements. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of departure from Kuwait. Additionally, travelers must have a valid return ticket or a confirmed onward flight. They must also have a residential address in the country and pay a visa fee of 3 Kuwaiti Dinars, which is approximately $10 USD.
While the suspension of the e-visa system will temporarily affect travelers from these countries, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has emphasized that this move is part of a broader effort to enhance the efficiency of its visa services and modernize the platform.
In addition to the visa-on-arrival option, travelers can also explore alternatives such as obtaining a visit visa sponsored by a Kuwaiti resident or applying for a business visa with the necessary documentation.
The temporary suspension of e-visas reflects Kuwait's ongoing commitment to improving travel services for international visitors. It is expected that the updates to the e-visa system will provide a smoother and more streamlined experience for future travelers.
