Hampton by Hilton Sharma recently opened its doors in NEOM, marking a significant achievement in the hospitality industry for this groundbreaking city. This hotel launch not only introduces the Hampton brand to Saudi Arabia but also positions it as the first hotel in NEOM, an area designed with futuristic and sustainable urban concepts.
The Hampton by Hilton Sharma features 201 spacious rooms and suites, complete with a range of modern amenities that cater to both leisure and business travelers. Among the hotel’s facilities are a swimming pool, a fully equipped 24-hour gym, and an on-site restaurant, The Hub, where guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast and a selection of international dishes throughout the day.
The hotel’s design was curated by Egypt-based Sabbour Consulting, who integrated advanced energy-saving technologies to align with NEOM's vision for sustainable development. Intelligent lighting systems, climate control features, and other innovative technologies are in place to reduce energy consumption, thereby lowering the carbon footprint of the hotel and enhancing the eco-friendly guest experience.
Golden Hospitality Solution supplied the operating supplies, artwork, uniforms, and other essentials for the hotel’s launch, ensuring that each detail met the high standards expected in NEOM’s pioneering environment. Hampton by Hilton Sharma is strategically located near NEOM’s key community areas: NEOM Community 1, which houses a large number of project workers, is just a short walk away, while NEOM Community 2 can be reached on foot within approximately 30 minutes. For guests preferring not to walk, the hotel provides a shuttle service between these communities for added convenience.
Guests also benefit from nearby transport links, with NEOM Bay Airport only a 30-minute drive from the hotel. In addition, the city of Tabuk, one of the main urban centers in northwestern Saudi Arabia, is accessible within two hours by car, and the picturesque Gayal Beach is only a 20-minute drive away.
Front office supervisor Ahmed Sahil expressed his excitement about the hotel’s opening on LinkedIn, sharing: “We just cut the ribbon at Hampton by Hilton Sharma – not only the first Hampton in Saudi Arabia but also the first hotel in NEOM. Our opening ceremony was nothing short of epic, and the energy here is inspiring. A huge thank you to our team for their incredible work and to the NEOM community for such a warm welcome.
Looking ahead, NEOM’s hospitality landscape is set to expand significantly, with other prominent brands planning to open in the area. Upcoming properties include Morgans Originals, The Chedi, Four Seasons, Luxury Collection, and 25hours Trojena, along with numerous high-end resorts and ultra-luxury accommodations.
When the NEOM Community project was initially announced in April of the previous year, Ahmed Alhatti, Chairman of Cayan Group – the developer behind the project – expressed enthusiasm for joining this visionary endeavor. Alhatti highlighted the collaboration with renowned global partners, such as Hilton Hotels and Resorts and BEC Arabia, while acknowledging the supportive role of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in fostering such private sector developments.
Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa, also shared his thoughts on this partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Cayan Group on the NEOM Community project. This signing is a testament to Hilton’s commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, our solid partnerships with both public and private entities, and the increasing demand for exceptional experiences across the Kingdom.”
Hampton by Hilton Sharma’s debut marks a new chapter in NEOM’s growth, offering an inviting, comfortable, and sustainable stay for visitors to this futuristic city.
